![]() ![]() Any information from somebody who is familiar with fury x overclocking is appreciated as I'm not able to find much information as to what voltage is safe to run or why afterburner cannot overclock my memory. Also I know that the fury x is not meant to be a wonderful overclocker but I am having trouble getting it to run at even 1160Mhz core clock. I also just updated the bios on my card to the latest official bios which didn't solve the problem. And it’s stuck there and I’ve tried restarting l, everything is up to date, used Nvidia inspector, just about everything. You can compare a GPUs core clock to teh CPU clock. It allows you to adjust many aspects of your graphics card, such as clock speed or memory. opened up afterburner after noticing a raise in temp after gaming and my memory clock at idle is at 7000 and gpu is at 1215 and never used to do this. The memory clock is the speed of the VRAM on the GPU, whereas the core clock is the speed of the GPUs chip. I am on Radeon software version 17.11.2 and Afterburner version 4.4.0. MSI Afterburner is a very powerful and useful tool for all gamers. This does not happen for any of the other settings all of which I can change and they will apply successfully. You can also see a variety of other system information, like your CPU usage, GPU usage, CPU temperature, memory usage, memory clock speed, etc. For some reason I can change all of the settings on the card including memory but when I hit the apply button it just defaults back to 500MHz. You can monitor your GPU’s clock speed, memory clock speed, voltage, and temperature directly from the MSI Afterburner interface. I'm somewhat of an amateur at overclocking graphics as I only ever messed around with it once before on my old 7970. But I will say msi afterburner is my personal favorite I really like the layout.I got a Fury X new about 18 months ago and only just recently decided to mess around with overclocking it. Also if you guys know of any other over clock programs that may be better for what I'm trying to do let me know. I will try and get you guys pictures of msi afterburner later I'm not currently with the PC. So I can potentially squeeze 65-70 mh/s out of this card. ![]() But I was wondering if anyone knew of a easy way to get around these msi afterburner limiters. With all that and a 70% LHR bypass I was able to just hover around 60MH/S on daggerhashimoto. ![]() I also decreased the power limit down to 70% which significantly improved my efficiency. Put a screen shot of your afterburner and frequency curve up I can explain what is happening. Chances are temperature is holding you back. So you will see if you open the frequency curve (ctrl+f) you can see what voltage and frequency you are running. MSI Afterburner Overclocking tools provide easy and precise access to your graphics card settings. Anyways with a 2000mhz overclock on the memory the gpu is only hovering around 27c with the VRAM around 50-60C. You can add an offset but this will still have thermal and power limits. You get MSI Afterburner, max out power limit, temp limit, and then add 100MHz to your core clock and 200 to your memory. Iv been using this cars to mine and that is why you may never hear me talk about the core clock as core clock speeds have little to no effect. The reason I am able to achieve these high clock speeds without crashing is because I'm running my pc in my garage with tempetures well below 0c. I didn't think I would be able to accomplish this but I was able to max out the memory clock on msi afterburner on 3070ti at 2000mhz and the problem is I have more then enough room to push it further but msi afterburner wont let me. Once Afterburner is installed, open it, go to Settings by clicking the cog icon and check the ‘Unlock voltage control’ and ‘Unlock voltage monitoring’ boxes. ![]()
